NGA-VT Scholarship
Proposed Application Criteria

As of 21 June 2007

  1. The National Guard Association of Vermont Scholarship(s) is/are awarded to a current member of the Vermont National Guard, or an unmarried son or daughter of a current member of the VTNG, or a spouse of a current member of the VTNG who has clearly distinguished himself or herself by a demonstrated commitment to selfless public service.
  2. Public service is defined as selfless service and/or leadership in social, secular historical, environmental, youth, patriotic, or peer group organizations, and/or a clearly demonstrated intent to pursue this path after graduation.
  3. Selfless is defined as dedication to the goals of the organization(s) where public service is or will be performed, without consideration for personal or professional accolades or enhancement.
  4. As part of the application, applicants will provide details of their selfless public service or plan for pursuing it in the future. The NGA-VT Scholarship Committee will review all applications and make recommendations to the NGA-VT President.
